Because I turned avoidant and defensive
Not knowing what to make of this
It was then when you made me understand
That I don't have to choose
When it comes to gratitude
There is absolutely nothing to loose
Then you served the truth to me
As humble as it was crude
There can be gratitude without love
But no love without gratitude
